What we talk about here
The subjects people most often come to me with.
Anxiety and worryWhen the thoughts run ahead of the body, and the nights are too long.
Life transitionsSeparation, parenthood, moving country, retirement: moments when the ground shifts.
Grief and lossA place for longing, for anger, and for what can't be said at home.
CouplesWhen the same argument keeps coming back, or when it's too quiet between you.
Self-imageThe inner voice that says it's never enough.
Burnout at workWhen the tiredness no longer goes away at the weekend.

I'm Batel
I'm an emotional therapist, the creator of "Fashion of the Soul", a lecturer and a group facilitator. I talk about what people wear on the inside, between the clothes wardrobe and the soul's wardrobe. In my room there is space for silence, for laughter and for hard questions.

The questions people ask quietly
Before you call, here are the answers, without polish.

What if I have no idea where to start?
That is where most people start. In the intro call I ask the questions, and we find the order together. You don39;t need to arrive with a tidy story.
Does what is said in the room stay in the room?
Yes. Confidentiality is the basis. The only exception is a real danger to life, where the law requires action, and we talk about it in the first session.
How long does therapy last?
It varies. Some people come for ten sessions around one subject, and some stay longer. Every so often we stop and check together whether it still helps.
What if it isn't right for me?
That39;s fine, and better found out early. You can say so in the room, and if needed I39;ll help you find a therapist who suits you better.
Do I need a big problem to come?
No. People come when something simply feels stuck, heavy or unclear. There is no entry threshold.
What does it cost, and does insurance refund it?
The fees are on the fees page. After each session you get a receipt, and most supplementary health plans refund part of it. It39;s worth checking with yours.
